Important Info
The North Coyote Buttes area of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument: to keep this incredible location preserved for future generations, the B.L.M. (Bureau of Land Management) has restricted access to it to just 64 permits per day in a lottery system.
As licensed guides, we do not need permits, so just get the number of permits for the people in your group.
We always have to keep an eye on the weather before any hike in a slot canyon due to potential flash flooding.
We do offer a refund on deposits if weather is a factor.
The Drive: We begin with 35 miles of paved highway taking approximately 30 minutes. We will drive this stretch in our comfortable vehicle and then it is just over 9 miles unpaved - taking approximately 25 minutes of riding in our fun Can-Am or Surburban vehicle. The tour takes a total of 2-3 hours of driving, and the drive is one of the great elements of the adventure. We'll grab some coffee together, and set out down Highway 89 on a winding, scenic journey through the Paria Wilderness
